Studies indicate that only about 50% of foster youth graduate from high school, and less than 10% earn a college degree. This is in stark contrast to the general population, where around 90% of students graduate high school and about 40% pursue higher education.

Senior Leadership Representation: Only about 1 in 25 senior leaders is a woman of color.

C-Suite Positions: Women of color make up only 3% of C-suite leaders, compared to 20% white women, 62% white men, and 13% men of color.

Gender Pay Gap: On average, women earn 82 cents for every dollar earned by men. This gap is even wider for women of color, with Black women earning 63 cents and Hispanic women earning 58 cents for every dollar earned by white, non-Hispanic men.

Discrimination Experiences: 24% of women of color in leadership roles report experiencing race discrimination, and 21% report gender discrimination in the workplace.

Perception and Bias: Mothers in leadership often face biases, with 44% of working mothers reporting that they have been passed over for promotions due to their parental responsibilities.

Work-Life Balance: About 60% of working mothers report struggling to balance work and family responsibilities, which can impact their career advancement opportunities.
